Time to get started...

About a year ago I started painting again. I never really learned how to paint but I would try it every once in a while. I never stuck with it but the desire to do it always stayed with me. This time I stuck with it. It's been slow going but I got a few paintings finished. A few weeks ago my amazing husband finished my "artist room" as my kids call it. Now it's full steam ahead so I think it's about time to put myself out there and start sharing. So here's the first one I did. To jump back in I followed a video on youtube from WOWart. It was pretty easy to follow. I love how the sky turned out and I'm happy with my first attempt at painting trees.

Snowy Tree

I've had this pretty snow covered tree painting finished and hanging around the house for over a year. Pictures do not do it justice.

Purple Galaxy

I had a lot of fun creating this galaxy. I layered blues, purple and black. Then worked in white, pink, light purple. And finally added the planets. This one currently sits on a shelf in my daughters room until I create the Nightmare Before Christmas paintings I want to make for her.

Dolphins at Play

This painting has been at least 10 years in the making. I started it when my oldest was 2 and never finished it. Last year I took it out and slowly started re-doing all of it bit by bit.
